Melissa Lanteigne

Child & Youth Worker

Hello, my name is Melissa also known as Missy and I am a Child Youth Worker at Applewood Academy.

I was born and raised within the Brighton/Colborne area, then eventually found myself here in Belleville where I have lived for the past few years. Belleville has offered my family and I great opportunities and so we have decided to continue to build more memories within this area.

I have experience working with individuals of all ages having worked within the customer service field for over 13 years. In 2019, after my third son was born, I decided to return to school with the hopes of gaining the knowledge and experience I needed to start my career. I graduated from Loyalist College in June 2020 from the Community and Justice Service Worker program. While completing my studies, I became extremely interested in volunteering within the Quinte West and Hastings and Prince Edward County communities. I am, and continue to be, a volunteer for the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) where I have created great relationships not only with my fellow volunteers but with the families of our local Military personnel.

After completing my studies, I joined the Applewood Academy team as a Child and Youth Worker and have been working closely with our clients both within the school and the residential setting. Not only am I rewarded by my own successes resulting from being part of the Applewood team, I am also rewarded by being part of your child’s journey toward a successful future.
