Hi my name is Jenna and I have been providing support to the students enrolled in the Applewood high school program since 2018. My role is High School Program Lead which allows me to meet the needs of students academically and therapeutically.
I have lived in Belleville my entire life and have decided that this is where I want to raise my family.
In my spare time I like to read, binge watch Netflix, spend as much time as possible at my cottage making memories and explore various camp sites with our trailer.
I attended Loyalist College, and graduated from the Community and Justice Service Worker Program in 2007. I have spent the last 13 years as a Child and Youth Worker supporting youth in various settings. I was a Program Manager in a Residential Setting for many years before moving to a Foster Care agency providing intensive therapeutic/clinical support to youth and families. This agency allowed me to attend a large number of training’s that have been paramount in my career servicing youth and families. I was afforded the opportunity to work as trainer with this agency which added to my tool belt and allowed further development and growth of my skills set. I spent some time working in Addictions in Mental Health which I also really enjoyed.
I am thoroughly enjoying my role within a school environment and find every aspect of my position extremely rewarding. I have strong values about education and empower the students to take education seriously as this is the root of their future. Witnessing day to day successes and achievements among each and every student is what makes this position enjoyable.
